Began training in Matial Arts in 1973 in karate Shotokan, aikido, kendo and Karate Uechiryu in 1988. Participation in competitions until 2000.

Trained in Uechi-Ryu Karate-do , with Sensei Hilton Jansen, Leone, Sensei Gustavo Gondra and Sensei Darin Yee.  Continuous training in Uechi-ryu Karate-do since 1988.

He was an athlete and karate coach in several national and international competitions.

Luiz has led Uechi-ryu seminars and organized many Uechi seminars in Brazil with high-ranking guests from all over the world.

He was a personal defense instructor in the Brazilian Air Force special forces squadron.

He currently presides over the board of masters at Kanshu Kai Dojo and Institute, teaching uechi ryu karate classes for adults and children.

Professional work: Graduate technician in electronics and precision instruments, providing services in the oil and gas industry in Brazil.
