Cecilia Salbuchi began her practice in 1993, earning her Shodan in 1997. That year, she attended the Okinawan Karate and Kobudo World Tournament in Okinawa, Japan, and practiced at Sensei Shinjo Kiyohide’s Kadena Dojo for a month. She returned to Japan in 2013 to practice again with Sensei Shinjo, who had now moved to Yomitan.
In 2014, she began studying other martial arts and self-defense disciplines. She joined the SPAD staff of instructors, taking all levels. More information: https://spad.com.ar/cecilia-salbuchi/. She also began practicing Aikido.
He earned his 4th degree in March 2017 in Mount Dora, in front of a panel of International Uechi Ryu Karate Federation masters, including George Mattson (10th degree), Sensei Harry Skeffington, Sensei Darin Yee, Sensei David Berndt, Sensei John Spencer, Sensei Joe Guidry, Sensei Ken R. Read, and Sensei Marjorie Swift. During this trip, he also visited and practiced at the Aikikai dojo in Fort Lauderdale.
In 2021 she received her Certificate in Martial Arts and Contact Sports from the YMCA Argentina University Institute, where she currently works as a teacher. He will return to WinterFest in the US in 2023, 2024, and 2025 to continue training alongside George Mattson Sensei and all the teachers who gather there annually to share their knowledge.
